Eclipse this compilation is not on the build path of a java project

This may happen when the project is not recognized as a java project, making the intellisense not working.

My specs are as follow:

• maven 3.0.x
• JDK 1.7
• SpringMVC

What you can do is to make eclipse to know it's a Java project.

Left click on your project in eclipse.
Click Project -> Properties.
Click on Project Facets, select Java.
